Shrink-wrap packaging boxes are a common type of plastic packaging in the field of packaging printing. The use of PET or PP materials for the blister packaging boxes mainly involves the application of vacuum thermoforming technology to heat and soften the PET plastic sheets, which are then adhered to the surface of the mold. After cooling, a container of a specific shape is formed. Why choose PET material? Because PET material has high transparency, strong chemical stability, complies with food contact safety standards, and is recyclable. It has low cost, quick molding, and the wall thickness is usually controlled within 0.8-1.5mm, which not only ensures strength but also avoids material waste.
Take the "egg tray" as an example. The interior is designed with independent grooves, and the depth of each groove matches the height of the egg, preventing it from tipping over or deforming during transportation. The lid is designed with a snap-on mechanism, which has better sealing performance than the ordinary flip lid, and can effectively prevent dust and leakage. Such packaging boxes can also be adapted for baked goods, or small samples of cosmetics, hardware parts, etc., which are not food items. Its transparent feature enables consumers to visually inspect the contents directly, enhancing the purchasing experience.
The customization of the blister packaging lies in three aspects: size, color, and logo printing. Logo printing can be done using gold stamping, screen printing or UV technology to enhance brand recognition.
Compared with traditional paper boxes or foam boxes, thermoformed boxes have better pressure resistance and wear resistance, making them suitable for long-distance transportation or stacking storage. For food that needs refrigeration, PP material is recommended; for display in normal temperature conditions, PET material can be chosen, balancing transparency and cost.
